VACANCY CIRCULAR

Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (MPERC) is a statutory body functioning under the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003. The Commission is discharging its functions  under Section 86 of the Act which includes determination of electricity tariff, regulate power purchase and procurement process, grant of licenses and to adjudicate upon disputes. The Commission invites applications for Research Fellows on consultancy basis.

The details of minimum qualification, post and consolidated remuneration are given below:

Selection Criteria- As decided by the Commission on the basis of qualification/experience etc. I.      

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

i. Tenure: - As per MPERC (Appointment of Consultants) (Revision -1) (Seventh Amendment) Regulations, 2009, Research Fellow shall be inducted initially for the period of one year and his/her tenure may be extendable maximum up to 5 years based on their performance and requirements of MPERC.

ii.   Consolidated Remuneration: - In accordance to the said regulations the Research Fellow shall be entitled to a consolidated remuneration (INR Forty Thousand only) per month. TDS shall be deducted as per relevant rules. The consolidated remuneration shall be increased  Second Year ,third year,  fourth year and  fifth year; if the contribution of the research fellow in the research work is found satisfactory by the Commission in respective years. 

iii.   Engagement under this assessment shall be on purely contract basis for a limited period only.

Such engagement shall not vest any right whatsoever to claim for regular appointment or continued contractual engagement in MPERC.

iv.   MPERC reserves the right not to fill up all or any of the above positions, without assigning any reasons, what so ever.

v.   MPERC reserves the right either to increase or decrease the number of posts, at any given time, without assigning any reasons, what so ever.

vi.   Termination of contract: - The Commission reserves its rights to foreclose, terminates or cancel the engagement by giving one month’s notice without assigning any reasons. In such cases, the Research Fellow shall be paid remuneration based on the work completed prior to such foreclose, termination or cancellation of the engagement as may be decided by the Commission,  and  the decision  of  the Commission  shall  be  conclusive  and  binding.  The remuneration so fixed and paid shall be deemed to be the final payment in such cases.

vii.   Other terms and conditions as stipulated in the order issued at the time of induction.
