                                          Advertisement for the Post of JRF on CONTRACT

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of JRF (on contract) in research project entitled “Multiphysics modelling of lightning strike, prediction of damage and subsequent performance analysis of composite panels” funded by Aeronautics Research & Development Board (AR&DB, DRDO). The duly completed application on prescribed format along with copies of supporting documents must reach to: Research

& Consultancy Cell, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj-211004 on or before 18.04.2025; 5PM.The envelope should be superscripted as “Application for the post of JRF (on contract); Advertisement No. 1458/AMD/Project Staff/2025”. A soft copy of the application should also be sent to Dr. A.K. Upadhyay, Associate Professor, Department of Applied Mechanics & Principal Investigator through email  ashutosh@mnnit.ac.in. The position is purely temporary and will be governed by the Funding agency rules and service conditions of Research & Consultancy Cell, MNNIT Allahabad.

Tenure of Appointment  Initially, the appointment will be made on contract basis for a period of one year. The contract can be extended twice based on yearly performance review, availability of the fund and continuation of the project only. Total project duration is three (03) years (April 2025- March 2028).

Essential Qualifications  MTech in Applied Mechanics/Engineering Mechanics and Design/ Computational Mechanics/Design (Mechanical Engineering)/Stress Analysis/Solid Mechanics with B.Tech. in Mechanical/Aerospace or any other relevant discipline in BTech/MTech with first class and GATE qualification in relevant discipline

Desirable  Department of Applied Mechanics knowledge of Ansys multiphysics applications and related programming

Fellowship  per month for first two years and Rs. 42,000/- per month in the third year. 20% HRA shall be admissible in case of nonavailability of accommodation at the Institute

Other Benefits Candidate selected for the JRF may register for Ph.D. program of the Institute if he/she meets the eligibility criteria for PhD admission in the institute. Facility of yearly leave, carryover leave, medical benefits etc. may be available as per applicable rules of the project staff

Age Limit  As per DST norms (The upper age limit can be relaxed up to 5 years in the case of SC/ST/OBC/PwD or Female candidates).

Note:

1.  The offer to join the post will be made after receiving the funds only.

2.  The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents and photographs submitted.

3.  The Institute reserves the right to reject application at any time and consider candidates of exceptional credentials without applications. Qualification and experience may be relaxed by the Institute at any point of time for otherwise exceptional candidates.

4.  Mere possessing the prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate would be called for Interview. The Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit, the summary of previous work in the related area and need of the project.

5.  Shortlisted Candidates will be informed by e-mail about the interview dates. So, they must provide their valid Email IDs in their applications.

6.  Shortlisted candidates must present themselves for the interview on the interview date with updated CV and original and attested photocopies of mark sheets/ certificates in support of their academic qualifications. The Interviews will be conducted in the physical mode only.

7.  Applicants in employment (private, government or any other organization) are required to submit a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer at the time of interview.

8.  No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
